We did it!
Reckless was feeling better today and he completed the work on his song “Don’t discriminate“! There is nothing more to say, his song is wonderful, Reckless is a successful musician from Belize who knows how to work in studio and he was able to push his track again to a higher level. Great! It is an honor for us, to have his amazing song on our CD!

We received also every needed track from Selvin Castellanos. He submitted the only song from out of the U.S. and we are now able to mix and master his song “Taking over” too. Selvin is living in California for a year now, but he was originally born in Belize and his song is hell a good! Very powerful and absolutely modern. Totally well done!

Our recording session are officially finished. Therewith, we’re done so far!
In the following days we will mix and master the 16 songs and that means a lot of work. But Al Obando, right here from Dangriga, will take care about all these important issues and we know that there is no better who could care about this job!

We are very happy and especially excited about what will happen in the next days, but first and foremost it was a big pleasure for us to work together with all of our artists!
It was fun, stress, interesting, creative, inspiring, exhausting, fascinating, informative etc…

But the most important is: all of the work payed off! We are proud of every song and we are sure that we got the perfect compilation for our “safe and sound – music for future” sampler!

Wir haben es geschafft!

Reckless hat sich heute wesentlich besser gefühlt und er konnte die Arbeit an seinem Song “Don’t discriminate” fertigstellen! Es gibt dazu gar nicht mehr zu sagen, sein Song ist einfach nur wundervoll, Reckless ist ein erfolgreicher Musiker aus Belize der einfach weiß wie man im Studio arbeiten muss und es ist ihm gelungen seinen Titel erneut zu verbessern. Wahnsinn! Es ist eine wahre Ehre für uns, diesen tollen Song mit auf unserer CD haben zu dürfen!

Wir haben außerdem alle nötigen Spuren von Selvin Castellanos erhalten. Dank ihm haben wir auch eine Einsendung aus den USA und können nun auch seinen Song” Taking over” mixen und mastern. Selvin lebt seit gut einem Jahr in Kalifornien, wurde aber in Belize geboren und sein Song ist wirklich sehr gut! Besonders druckvoll und absolut zeitgemäß. Einfach nur gut gemacht!

Damit sind unsere Recordingsessions offiziell beendet. Damit sind wir soweit erst einmal durch!

In den kommenden Tagen werden wir die 16 Songs mixen bzw. mastern und das bedeutet richtig Arbeit. Aber Al Obando, direkt hier aus Dangriga, wird sich dieser wichtigen Dinge annehmen und wir sind sehr froh, dass wir ihn dafür gewinnen konnten, denn wir wissen, dass es keinen Besseren als ihn für diesen Job gibt!

Wir sind glücklich und außerdem sehr gespannt darauf, was in den nächsten Tagen alles passieren wird, aber vor allem war es uns ein riesen große Freude mit all unseren Musikern zusammen arbeiten zu dürfen!
Es war ne Menge Spass, Stress, es war interessant, kreativ, inspirierend, anstrengend, faszinierend, lehrreich und und und…

Aber das Wichtigste ist: die gesamte Arbeit hat sich gelohnt! Wir sind auf jeden Song stolz und sind uns absolut sicher, dass wir die perfekte Zusammenstellung für unseren “safe and sound – music for future” Sampler haben!

Our day 10 in a row started early! The group Shatta Unit from Punta Gorda arrived around 8 o’clock in the morning at the studio. We needed to change major things to improve their song “Trying to figure out“, but some hours later, about noon, we were done and the song rocks! They have an unique style and we have another new facet on our sampler. We really enjoyed working with them!

The next and the last artist for today was Marcus Sanchez. He is also from Punta Gorda and he was recoding his song “All over the world” again. He did pretty good, the fact, that we had to recreate a new instrumental for his track, was no problem at all for him. We tried some new stuff and after a little while everything was finished. The outcome: a really convincing Dancehall track for our CD!

Unfortunately the artist Reckless got a really bad cold. We hope that he is doing better tomorrow and that he is able to continue the work on his song “Don’t discriminate“. Get well soon!

That means, one more session to go… The tension is mounting!

Unser 10. Studiotag in Folge begann sehr früh! Die Gruppe Shatta Unit aus Punta Gorda kam um 08 Uhr morgens im Studio an. Wir mussten an grundlegenden Dingen ihres Titel arbeiten, um ihren Song “Trying to figure out” bestmöglich verbessern zu können. Einige Stunden später, um die Mittagszeit, waren wir damit fertig und der Song rockt! Sie zeichnen sich durch ihren eigenen besonderen Style aus und somit haben wir wieder eine weitere Facette mehr auf unserem Sampler. Es hat wirklich Spass gemacht mit den Jungs zu arbeiten!

Der nächste und gleichzeitig letzte Künstler für den heutigen Tag war Marcus Sanchez. Er ist auch aus Punta Gorda und nahm seinen Song “All over the world” erneut auf. Er war gut drauf, der Umstand, dass wir für seinen Titel ein neues Instrumental produzieren mussten, machte ihm überhaupt nichts aus. Im Gegenteil, wir haben einige Dinge ausprobiert und nach kurzer Zeit, war alles fertig und beendet. Das Ergebnis: ein sehr überzeugender Dancehall-Song für unsere CD!

Leider hat sich der Künstler Reckless eine ziemlich heftige Erkältung eingefangen. Wir hoffen das es ihm morgen bereits besser gehen wird und dass er dann wieder in der Lage ist, die Arbeiten an seinem Song “Don’t discriminate” fortzusetzen. Gute Besserung von uns!

Somit heißt es, das doch noch eine Session ansteht… Die Spannung steigt!

The day was long and exhausting, but very successful.

We started with Abner Babil. His song “Nothing in this life” had to change in different ways. We had to create an new instrumental and the chorus needed to be rearranged either. It took us a couple of hours, but we are totally satisfied with the result! This is how it’s supposed to be!

During the early evening, Mix Vibez arrived at the studio. These very young talented guys came all the way from Orange Walk Town, to work again on their song “Knowledge is the key“. The track was already submitted in a very professional way, well produced and structured, full of energy and equipped with a deep message. We were rerecording their vocals till late at night and they did an awesome job. They were able to improve the song again. What should we say, we are still happy and impressed of these guys! They are young, ambitious and they will definitely go their way!

So far, one more session to go! We can’t believe it…

Der Tag war lang und anstrengend, aber erfolgreich.

Den Start machte Abner Babil. Sein Song “Nothing in this life“, hat sich auf verschiedene Art und Weise verändert. Wir mussten ein neues Instrumental produzieren und auch der Refrain musste umarrangiert werden. Es hat uns ein paar Stunden gekostet, aber wir sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis! Genau so muss es eben laufen!

Am frühen Abend, erreichten Mix Vibez das Studio. Diese sehr talentierten jungen Herren, sind den ganzen weiten Weg aus Orange Walk Town gekommen, um erneut an ihrem Song “Knowledge is the key” zu arbeiten. Sie haben ihren Titel schon in einer sehr professionellen Form eingereicht, gut produziert und strukturiert, voller Energie und ausgestattet mit einer kräftigen Aussage. Wir haben die Vocals bis spät in die Nacht neu aufgenommen und sie haben einfach großartige Arbeit geleistet. Sie haben es sogar geschafft, den Song erneut zu verbessern und gewissermaßen noch Einen drauf zu legen. Was sollen wir sagen, wir sind immer noch ganz euphorisch und tief beeindruckt von den Jungs. Die Beiden sind jung, ambitioniert und sie werden defintiv ihren Weg gehen!

Morgen steht die vorerst letzte Session an! Wir können es kaum glauben…

Nkrumah Obi started in the morning to work on his song “Be smart“. His track is based on drummings and his strong message, very minimalistic, but very good! We were done fast with the work and got into no troubles. It was a professional work over. Thanks for that!

Nkrumah Obi startete heute Morgen die Arbeit an seinem Song “Be smart“. Sein Titel basiert auf Drummings und seiner starken Botschaft, sehr minimalistisch, aber wirklich gut! Wir waren sehr schnell fertig und konnten die Aufnahmen ohne Probleme über die Bühne bringen. Eine sehr professionelle Überarbeitung seinen Songs. Danke dafür!

Damit sind es nur noch 6 Songs die aufgenommen werden wollen…

Today Lloyd Augustine was supposed to be in the studio, to make some final changes on his track “Learn your ABC’s and HIV“. His song was almost nearly perfect when he submitted it, just little things needed to be worked over.
We met each other at Allan Castillos studio, he is also an very ambitious studio engineer from Dangriga. It just took us around an hour to bring Lloyds song to perfection. It was really fun, Lloyd is a very smart guy, a definitely gifted musician and we are really loving his song!

It was a short, but an very effective working day. Thumbs up!

Heute hatte Lloyd Augustine seinen Studiotermin, um noch kleine Feinheiten an seinem Song “Learn your ABC’s and HIV” zu ändern. Sein Titel war schon als Einsendung nahezu perfekt, nur Kleinigkeiten mussten überarbeitet werden.
Wir haben uns in Allen Castillos Studio getroffen, er ist auch ein sehr ambitionierter Studio-Engineer aus Dangriga und wir haben vielleicht eine gute Stunde gebraucht um Lloyds Song zu perfektionieren. Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht, Lloyd ist nicht nur ein witziger Typ, sondern gleichzeitig auch noch ein sehr begabter Musiker und wir lieben seinen Song!

Das war mal ein sehr kurzer, aber sehr wirkungsvoller Arbeitstag. Daumen hoch!

Another recording day is almost over and we accomplished a lot.

The session started with Rebecca Stirm, she is from Belmopan and she submitted her song “Clean“. We were really impressed of her talent, it was easy for her to record the song again and we took it to the maximum. There is nothing more to say besides, that it is a real pleasure to have that song on our sampler!
The second artist who showed up today, was Mr. Rowe out of Dangriga. His song “Take an Aids test” is a mixture between modern dancehall and cultural music. His strong voice is very catchy and the whole song will stuck in our head, whenever you’ll going to hear it! Another really really good one!

That’s it for the day and a lot of work is still waiting do be done…

Unser Arbeitstag begann heute mit Rebecca Stirm, sie kommt aus Belmopan und hat ihren Song “Clean” dem Wettbewerb zur Bewertung gestellt. Wir waren alle sehr angetan von ihrem Talent, sie hatte keine Schwierigkeiten mit den erneuten Aufnahmen und wir haben das Maximum aus ihrem Titel rausgeholt. Es ist einfach eine Freude diesen Song auf dem Sampler haben zu können. Mehr kann man dazu nicht sagen!
Der 2. Künstler für den heutigen Tag war Mr. Rowe aus Dangriga. Sein Song “Take an Aids test” ist eine Mischung aus moderner Dancehall und ursprünglich kultureller Musik. Seine starke Stimme geht ins Ohr und sein Titel beisst sich sofort wenn man ihn das erste Mal gehört hat im Kopf fest. Ein weiterer Kracher, wie man so schön sagt!

Das war’s für heute, morgen geht es weiter, denn eine Menge Arbeit wartet noch darauf, erledigt zu werden…

Yes, today we took it to the next level. 2 Artists were recording and it worked out perfectly, without getting in trouble with our schedule.
Jr. Deizel from Belize City started to record his song “What would you do“. He is a very ambitious and talented singer, it was really easy for him to rerecord and he had really fun! We too by the way…
After Jr. Deizel was done, Big Rif conquered the studio to record his song “The 10 condoms commandments“. There is no doubt about it, this dude has a lot of skills and experiences with music, especially with being a HipHop artist. Within half an hour he was done with the recordings and the result was hell a convincing. Awesome!

We would say, the story continues tomorrow…

Jawoll, heute haben wir uns fast selbst übertroffen! 2 Künstler haben aufgenommen und es hat ohne Zwischenfälle und Probleme mit der Zeitplanung funktioniert.
Jr. Deizel aus Belize City machte den Anfang und nahm seinen Song “What would you do” auf. Er ist ein sehr strebsamer und talentierter Musiker, ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken hat er seinen Titel neu aufgenommen und Spass hat es ihm dabei auch noch gemacht! Uns im Übrigen auch…
Nachdem Jr. Deizel fertig war, übernahm Big Rif das Studio um seinen Song “The 10 condoms Commandments” aufzunehmen. Ohne Zweifel, dieser Typ hat’s echt drauf und er hat defintiv ne Menge Erfahrungen als Musiker gesammelt, besonders als HipHop Künstler. Innerhalb einer halben Stunden hatte er alles im Kasten, die Aufnahmen waren fertig und das Resultat war mehr als nur überzeugend. Wahnsinn!

Uns bleibt nur noch zu sagen, dass unsere Geschichte hier morgen in alter Frische weitergeht…

Wow, what a day!

We started the session with South Blaze Fraternity kind a late, but their song “Take your time” reached a different and higher level now, in our opinion – marvelous! Everybody was really excited.
In general our whole work is about trying out new things, getting more experiences and trying to improve the songs as much as possible. We did very well today for sure and everybody left the studio totally satisfied.

It is hard to find the proper words, but we are very proud of getting the opportunity to work together with all that talented artists!

We are deeply grateful for that!

Was für ein Tag!

Die Aufnahmen mit South Blaze Fraternity haben heute etwas später angefangen, aber ihr Song “Take your time” hat unserer Meinung nach einen großen Sprung gemacht – unglaublich! Alle waren sehr aufgeregt und angetan. Generell geht es bei unserer ganzen Arbeit ums ausprobieren neuer Dinge, darum neue Erfahrungen zu sammeln und um den Versuch jeden Song soweit es nur geht zu verbessern. Es war definitiv ein sehr erfolgreicher Tag und jeder hat das Studio zufrieden verlassen.

Es ist nach wie vor schwer die passenden Worte zu finden, aber es macht uns sehr stolz die Möglichkeit zu bekommen, mit all diesen talentierten Künstlern zusammenarbeiten zu dürfen!

All eyes on Stephen Petillo!
Actually we planed to have 2 artists in the studio today, but only Stephan was able to make it. Anyway, he did a great job, his Song “Aids ah noh secret” improved a lot and we had fortunately no problems with the electric current today!

There is nothing more to say, besides that, another really good song is produced for our CD! Time to feel proud!

Heut drehte sich alles um Stephen Petillo!
Eigentlich hatten wir geplant 2 Künstler aufzunehmen, aber nur Stephen war es möglich den Termin wahrzunehmen. Nichts desto trotz, auch er hat, wie seine beiden Vorgänger, sehr gute Arbeit geleistet. Wir konnten seinen Song “Aids ah noh secret” überzeugend verfeinern und zum Glück hatten wir heute keine Probleme mit der Stromversorgung!

Es gibt nicht mehr zu sagen, außer dass wieder ein wirklich guter Titel für unsere CD entstanden ist! Es ist an der Zeit sich mal stolz zu fühlen!
